I just wanted to
update you on our puppy, Dixie. My fiance and I got Dixie in Jan. 2008
and she is a pup from Ice and Abby. She has brought us an unmeasureable
amount of joy, although we now fully understand the book "Marley and
me". We began training early and within a month of having her at home we
was potty trained and could follow simple command she as sit, stay,
down, and paw. With a little work on a leash, we are able to go for long
walks with just a few corrections. Since we want Dixie to be able to go
everywhere with us, we decided to send her to a trainer to polish her
up. She has been gone for almost 2 months and while we miss her dearly,
we know she will be great when she comes home -- we secretly saw her
progress a few weeks ago. I have attached a few pictures. We get so many
complements on her beauty and personality, she is a wonderful companion.

Thanks,
Kristin Walberg
Jack
is top notch. He actually is pointing birds. I don’t have enough room to
explain it. He retrieved a ton of birds some that other dogs could not
find and was catching them on the run and in the air, had to see it to
believe it. Jack retrieved at what 9 months???? Snow, Greators,
ducks, sharp tail, and pheasants. I will put him up against any dog.
Definitely worth the 14 hour drive. He got cut bad on barb wire but is
good now.
Thanks Jason Ruskey
"I am a small Labrador hobby breeder in
Canton Texas I was looking for a male lab puppy to better my foundation
stock. A friend of a friend told me about Don Donley and the litter of
puppies he had. After contacting Don and finding out what exceptional
pedigrees the puppies had I knew I had to purchase one. We named him Crumpler's Modo Ice and what a dog with in 2 weeks of purchasing him he
was potty trained and crate trained. In my opinion he is exceptionally
smart and boy does this dog love water we jokingly call him
"mud oh no" because if its wet he's in it!!" - Bonni
"I bought a black lab from Mr.
Donley a few years ago and I must say that he is the smartest and most
gentle lab I've ever owned. In addition, he has turned out to be the
best hunting partner a person could ask for. I wouldn't trade him for
anything." - Larry
"Hi! I bought a yellow lab puppy
from you in March 2005. I wanted to let you know her name is Sandy
and she is a wonderful dog! She has a beautiful coat and she
weighs 75-80 lbs. now. We take her to the lake to swim sometimes
and she is an excellent swimmer!
We are very pleased with her as a pet." - Mary
I want to give
you an update on Marlee (yes, that's her given name). She's doing great
and we can't believe how much she's grown in a week. She eats like a
horse. She gets along well with her brother (Buster) except for biting
and pulling on his collar (which he doesn't much like). She has slept
through the night (in her crate) the last two nights. Prior to that, I
only had to get up once (around 4 AM) to let her outside to pee. She's
starting to go to the door when she needs to go outside, but still has
some accidents indoors (peeing). That's to be expected. We are all
very happy with her and she seems to be very happy as well. She'll
retrieve her stuffed toy about 2 times before she gets bored. I throw
it about 10 feet and she brings it back. Like you suggested, I only let
her try 3 or 4 times (until she gets older). - Kelly
I wanted
to update you on how Hugo is doing. He is already housebroken and loves
his kennel. He walks on a leash by our side and is learning new commands
daily. He loves to be loved and we are very happy with him. -

Second Update:
We love Hugo
and he is a fantastic dog! He is easily trainable and very calm. He is
the best
dog that we could hope for! - Marie and Stephen
My
fiancé and I bought a lab pup from Don in May '08 and he is the best
addition to the family we could have asked for. We named him "All Time
Deuce's Wild", aka Deuce, and he is doing great! Potty training was not
really an issue with him after the first couple accidents. He was crate
trained after two days and loves to hang out in there as his little get
away when he is tired. Deuce is very smart and knows many commands
which didn’t take long either. I am still working with him on
retrieving on land as he gets bored, but retrieving in the water is
another story. No matter what is thrown in the water or how tired he
may be, he jumps right in and gets it! People are always commenting on
how calm he is for being a lab puppy and how well behaved he is. They
say if they had a pup, they would want it to be like him. Deuce is a
great dog whether you want to work him or lay on the couch with you (he
still thinks he is a lap dog). I couldn’t have asked for a better dog.
Thank you for my new best friend! Thanks a million - Chris
